The greatest secret is hidden within you!

Dear Beautiful Soul,

There is an ancient Indian proverb that has stayed with me for many years.

It says:

“And the wise men said: We will hide the secrets of the universe in the heart of man. It is the only place he will forget to look.”

I find those words both beautiful and profound.

How often do we spend our lives searching everywhere except within ourselves?

We search for happiness in success.
For peace in perfect circumstances.
For love in the approval of others.
For purpose in titles and accomplishments.

We search in books.
We search through other people’s opinions.
We search for someone to tell us who we are and what we should become.

Yet perhaps the greatest wisdom has been quietly waiting within us all along.

I believe God created each of us with an inner compass—a heart capable of recognizing truth, love, compassion, and wisdom.

But life has a way of covering that wisdom.

Fear.
Disappointment.
Childhood wounds.
Negative beliefs.
The expectations of others.

Layer upon layer, we begin to lose touch with the quiet voice that has always been there.

Not because it disappeared.

But because we stopped listening.

The journey of personal and spiritual growth is not about becoming someone new.

It is about remembering who you have always been.

It is about removing the invisible beliefs that tell you that you are not enough.

It is about quieting the noise long enough to hear the wisdom that has patiently waited within your heart.

When we create moments of stillness…

When we pray…

When we reflect…

When we journal…

When we spend time in nature…

We begin to hear that gentle inner voice again.

It rarely shouts.

Instead, it whispers:

“You are stronger than you think.”

“Choose love over fear.”

“Forgive.”

“Trust the next step.”

“Keep going.”

I believe this is one of God’s greatest gifts.

Not that He gives us every answer immediately…

But that He invites us into a relationship where His wisdom gradually transforms our hearts from the inside out.

Today, I invite you to stop searching everywhere else for just a few moments.

Instead…

Place your hand over your heart.

Take a slow, deep breath.

And simply ask:

“What truth have I forgotten about myself?”

Then sit quietly.

Don’t rush.

Don’t force an answer.

Just listen.

You may discover that what you have been searching for has been waiting within you all along.

May you have the courage to look inward with honesty.

May you rediscover the wisdom God has lovingly placed within your heart.

And may that wisdom guide every step of your journey.

With love & light,

Rev. Carmen Gélinas
