What honesty truly means in the eyes of God
Dear Beautiful Soul,
Honesty is one of the purest forms of spiritual alignment.
Not only honesty with others…
but honesty with ourselves and with God.
So many people spend years hiding their truth.
They hide their pain.
Their fears.
Their emotions.
Their needs.
Their struggles.
Sometimes to protect others.
Sometimes to avoid rejection.
And sometimes because they no longer know how to face what they truly feel inside.
But God does not ask us to pretend.
He does not ask us to wear masks, suppress our emotions, or carry silent suffering while appearing strong on the outside.
God desires truth.
Because truth is where healing begins.
Honesty in the eyes of God is not about being harsh, judgmental, or hurtful.
It is about living in integrity.
It is allowing our words, actions, and inner truth to align with one another.
It is having the courage to say:
“I am hurting.”
“I need help.”
“This no longer feels right.”
“I deserve peace.”
“I made a mistake.”
“I want to heal.”
There is something deeply freeing about honesty.
The moment we stop denying what we truly feel, we create space for transformation.
Because what we refuse to acknowledge often continues to control us silently.
But what we lovingly bring into the light can finally begin to heal.
God already knows our hearts completely.
He knows our fears before we speak them.
He knows our wounds before we understand them ourselves.
And still, He loves us fully.
That is why honesty with God is never something we should fear.
Prayer does not require perfect words.
It requires sincerity.
God is not asking for performance.
He is asking for truth.
And honesty also means being truthful about the way we live our lives.
Are our words aligned with kindness?
Are our actions aligned with love?
Are we treating ourselves and others with dignity and respect?
Honesty asks us to stop abandoning our values for approval, comfort, or fear.
It asks us to live authentically.
Today, I invite you to pause for a moment and ask yourself gently:
Where in my life am I being called to be more honest with myself?
The answer may feel uncomfortable at first…
but truth is often the doorway to peace, freedom, and deeper spiritual connection.
May you find the courage to live truthfully.
May your heart feel safe enough to be honest.
And may you remember that God’s love remains present even in our most vulnerable moments.
With love & light,
Rev. Carmen Gélinas
